Entry for my Great Grand Aunt says Aborted (2 mon) 8 days Septicemia 8 days I assume this means she lost a child 2 months into pregnancy and then died of Septicemia. Does the 8 days mean there was 8 days between the 2 events

I would assume so. Not sure why it is repeated twice though.

This normally describes the length of time that someone has been suffering from an ailment. I imagine that the miscarriage(?) happened 8 days before death and septicemia was judged to have set in immediately. Maz. XX

Thanks both - I think the only query really is why the 8 days is written twice

David I just think that the person who certified events was stressing that the miscarriage or whatever was 8 days before death and that she had also been suffering from septicemia for 8 days. If the septicemia had occured later, in his opinion, then the two lengths of time noted would not have been the same. Maz. XX
