I had problems when trying to get in via genes connected. Now use genes reunited on favourties and its ok.

Yes, there is another thread about this; it's on this board and the title is 'the page cannot be found'. You need to clear your cookies or something technical like that LOL, but I know if you use 'genesreunited' instead of 'genesconnected' it solves the problem. Mandy :)

Are you sorted John? I posted a thread this morning on this, it was driving me mad!!! Apparently it is because we are still using the old "Genes Connected" link to enter this site, get rid of that and enter through Genes Reunited, I've done that and every thing is great. I was ready to smash things this morning!!!!! Hope it works for you Sam

I've had the same problem. Why should I have to muck about with the address on my computers because GC has unilaterally decided to rebrand?

Steve Report 9 Jun 2004 16:29

I can't even reach the Contact Us page! It does seem that the server 'upgrade' and the rebranding are making the site unuseable. Steve

Don't know much about computers but think you have to go into internet options on your browser and delete the cookies hope this helps it worked for me

John: See the TIPS board, thread "1 STOP ROUTINE PC MAINTANCE" for a quick fix for the error you are getting....scroll down on the thread a few subjects and you'll it. Judy

I have been having this problem since Sunday night and it is extremely frustrating, I keep my thumb on one button and ring finger on the other and alternate between the two, maximum number of repetitions is six so far.

I am still using the old "Genes Connected" link and shall for as long as 'they' will let me! No problem here with it. GC rules! Am not going through FR! Joy

Hi All, It's nothing to do with cookies and temp internet files. Enter the site through www.genesreunited(.)com This seems to stop all the problems with 'page not found' Debbie

Judy Report 10 Jun 2004 02:43

Although the particular problem of "page not found" may be a GR/GC glitch in this particular instance, changing the settings I mention (ie I STOP ROUTINE PC MAINTANANCE) does indeed make a difference on other sites one may be having trouble accessing....as does emptying cookies and temp files.

THIS IS GETTING TO BRE A PAIN IN ..... ANY IDEA WHEN ITS GOING TO BE RESOLVED THANKS STEVE FROM CANADA

Smiley Report 10 Jun 2004 08:18

You can resolve it yourself Stephen, as I did. Delete your GC link and enter through www.genesreunited(.)com update your favourites too if that's where you save your links, as I do. It's all running smoothly for me now. Sam
