i am trying to find what would be my father.. i have found a name, d.o.b. and area on this site of which i know of, but when i e mailed them, the e mail came back to me on my mail?. Am i doing something wrong, i would love to get in contact with this person but i don't know how to? thanks |

Rachel, this site send a copy of any mail you sent to your own address. If it includes "You sent.." then that is just your copy and not a rejection. I hope that was it Marian |

Are you a full member (i.e. paid a subscription) as only full members can email someone on the site. As well as this I think some people may have changed their email address since starting on this site. I have tried to send messages to some people about people in their trees but haven't heard back from them. |

Hi Rachel I agree with Marion & Kathleen, you do get an email letting you know yours has been sent, and I'm sure some members have either changed their email addresses or no longer visit this site. The email thing is not fool proof, you could also check "your contacts" on your left, I have had a couple of messages on their but no email came to me. Be patient and fingers crossed you'll get a reply, at present I have 4 contacts outstanding that have not responded to me, it's very disappointing I know. Good luck Sam |
