Hi Julie Hope you don't mind me asking but is the information on the 1841/51 for Sheffield done by street name? I'm trying to locate some rellies and I think I have found one in Sheffield in 1856 with an address in Sheffield, however I think it is his work address. Not sure if he was there in 1851 as in 1841 he was in Edinburgh!!! They moved about a bit my lot. Thanks Michelle

Hello Martin, I have the 1851 - 1871 censuses for Sheffield. I have looked for Jessop Lane, and the streets/lanes around it. There are a couple of Wilkinson families there, but there is no Charles Wilkinson in either of them. Julie

Hi, Does anyone have any census information for Sheffield for either 1841/51. I have a birth certificate for someone I believe is my ancestor.. Charles Wilkinson - born 1839 Sheffield I have tried to locate his "so-called" marriage on 1837online but after scanning all possible marriages from 1860 to 1879 to no avail I have decided to try and verify him through birth certificate and census info. The address I have for him from his birth certificate is Jessop Lane, Sheffield... there is no number given. So if anyone can tell me if there was a Wilkinson family living there in 1841/51 you will make me very happy.. Thanks Martin
