Try the Commonwealth Graves Commission Website they have a on-line database which will if you find your uncles name on their the database will tell you where hes buried and may show you the inscription on the grave a easy website to use. I m sorry I cannot remember the address of the top of my heard do a search on commonwealth graves commission and the website will come up. I hope this is helpful to you

Ask at your nearest Family Records Centre if they have the indexing on film, I know some have the BMD's indexing but not sure if they would have the overseas deaths, worth a phone call anyway. Irene

Lynne! It would have been registered in the Deaths Overseas Indexes which are not, sadly available online. They are held at the FRC in Islington. max xx

My uncle died in April 1945 in Germany (I think). Does anyone know if his death would have been registered here? Thanks Lynne
