There is a search fee for genealogical enquiries which currently stands at £25.00. Sam

Hi Wow, thats quick. I rang them a few weeks ago and they told me they were working on last Augusts requests. I applied in February 2004 with full name, service number, regiment etc but am still waiting! Hopefully mine won't be far behind. Sam x

Don't give up, I was pleasantly surprised when on Saturday I received a large package from Glasgow; Seeing as I only applied in mid April, it is a great effort by the Records Office. The admin officer apologises for my long wait and explains they are operating a different system and are now able to speed up the requests. I am not complaining and will write to say so.
