Is your g/grandfather likely to be mentioned on your grandfather's birth certificate (ie was he married to your great-grandmother or did he acknowledge parenthood)? If so, get your grandfather's birth certificate because it will have the age and occupation of your g/grandfather on it. Once you have narrowed down the birth year, you can look for your g/grandad's birth cert and find him on the 1901 census. |
