His middle name was Land and I've tried looking for that too. Haven't tried Boynes although the family are mistranscribed on the 1871 census on Ancestry as Loynes. I've saved the 1837 pages I've looked at so I can go back to them. Naomi

Naomi I've had a look on Ancestry England & Wales civil reg. but found nothing either. Sooo - either he wasn't recorded (****) or he has been recorded wrongly. Have you checked his entry hasn't been added right at the bottom of the 1837 sheets as an extra? alternatively, could he have been registered wrongly as Boyns or Doyns (clutching straws here!) Helen

Could he have gone by a second name? On freebmd there is a death of George Points aged 49 Dec 1866 St. Saviour 1d 21. Cheers - Chris

I'm trying to find the death of my GGG Grandfather. His name was William Points/Poynts. According to the Norfolk 1851 census he was born approx 1823. The family moved to Camberwell around the early 1850's and his youngest daughter was born c1864/1865. On the 1871 census his wife is listed as a widow. I have searched on 1837online for deaths starting with POI and POY but can't find him anywhere. I've saved the pages so I can go back and check but any ideas would be appreciated. Naomi
