Blues is my thing! I did have Spanish guitar lessons as a 'mature student' (anyone who knows me would laugh at Mature) and that's OK but I prefer Blues. I haven't been to Bradford for 10 years (friends in Keighley). Maybe I should go for a visit? Kim - sounds awful. We had nothing like that, only a packing man who was terrified of our dog, in the end I had to send the dog to my brother's house because I couldn't bear to see Alex cowering. He was a very enthusiastic packer - I even found the kitchen J cloth wrapped in paper and packed in a box labelled 'Kitchen'. I never had someone pack before but with a sick husband and two v unhelpful teenage boys I couldn't manage it alone.(sigh)

Well actually, can't go out as hubby is down the pub and i have to "baby" sit. Still I have a large bottle of cider whichwill go down swimmingly!! (or not) Still Ican dream! KIM (WITH LARGE GLASS!) p.S when we moved many years ago down here, the removal man got knocked unconscious the night before, there was no key so we had to smash a window and changed the locks, and the folowing monday we were burgled, not to mention the abandoned car parked outside for three months!I never saw so many police in my life before, turned outa well known criminal had owned the house before! But that's another story!! What a welcome we had! KIM

That sounds about right! I'm sure someone will correct us if it's not. My tiara (£2.99) has pride of place on the dresser that was fixed in the house (luvverly). Only moved to Heath Park. All went smooth except my lovely mother in law died a day before we moved so everything was a bit of a mess. I'd recommend our removal men any time. Name your PUB! xx A xxx

Hi Ann, are you still in Cardiff? Did it all go smooth!! Think i get it now, you can have a licensed victauller who runs a restaurant that can sell drink and a chap who runs a beer house wo can sell beer! and a publican who can also sell beer, I think i'll just go down the pub!! KIM(without the tiara!)

looking up i think a public house is property built to a specifacation to sell beer and spirits etc and designed as such, where as a Beer house was a house that sold Beer and spirits etc, sort of a house converted to be not built as, Licensed victualler ran a publichouse/ resturant type of premisis

SO I Have a beer house keeper , who is running the Three Tuns pub in Staines, Middx, would I be right in thinking he did not own the licence but just ran the pub. ie not the "landlord" and the licensed victualler was more of a off licence type thing?? KIM

Hi, I'm sticking my neck out and taking a guess here but I see it as a publican runs a public house, a beer house keeper runs a place where beer (but not spirits) is sold and a licensed victular runs an establishment that can sell food , wines and spirits - victuals, I'm sure if I'm wrong then I will be put right soon xx dave

i think a Publican ran a Public house. a beer house keeper i think was a ordinary house licensed by a magistrate to sell beer and did not have a full licence and a licenced Victualler was licenced to sell food and drink somthing along these lines

Can some bright spark explain the differences , I have all three in my tree , are they interchangeable! KIM
