found one of my rellies(robert emmingham) has been married before,he married his first wife jane wells in stapleford,lincoln in 1827.i need to somehow get a copy of a marriage cert to find their ages and fathers details...as its before 1837 is this possible???

You will need to locate the parish register entry, which will probably be in the local records office. Lincolnshire Archives St Rumbold St Lincoln LN2 5AB. Tel: 01522-526204 email: archive[@]lincolnshire[.]gov[.]uk - remove brackets. www(.)lincolnshire(.)gov(.)uk/archives - remove brackets.

Hi Cherie I think you'll find that marriages before 1837 have the names of bride, groom and two witnesses who may or may not have been family members. The father's name wasn't stated but he could have been a witness. Heather
