Thank you both for your replies, I have now imported my tree and done my best to disguise the living as suggested. Now that my tree is online I have noticied 1) just how much of my tree is living and 2) that where I knew a maiden name or surname I must have put the parents down as Unknown blah balh - of course this has all downloaded too so I have probably really upset the man whos thread is complaining of such matters. I promise when I get more time I will trawl through again and try to delete. Theres no easy way to do this so its a job that will have to wait!!! Penny |

I've called quite a few of mine 'living' but in order to disguise them a bit further (depends on how narky they're likely to get if they see themselves LOL), I put their place of birth as England or the county, rather than a specific town/city. Mandy :) |

Penny, Substitute their christian name for 'Living'. That keeps them in the tree, but takes away the problem of having them named on the net. Elisabeth |

I have imported my tree but my file has many living relatives whoose details I dont want to display. Can anyone tell me in easy terms how to go through and delete their details or at least how to disguise their names. Its quite a big tree so I need a fairly simple way of going through it. (I tried to import it withholding living details but it wouldnt accept as that included me!) Thanks Penny |
