Hi Elizabeth I was given an email address a while ago by another member. I got round to dropping them a line the other day. Unfortunately these people only have the BMD's for Leeds (not one of my areas of interest) but I thought it's better than nothing. The address is register.officeatleeds(.)gov(.)uk Remove the brackets and replace 'at' with the symbol Jeanette |

Hi Jeanette I have had so much info from this site, I would be very interested in transcribing. How do you go about registering? Liz |

No worries Barry. I got half way through what I was typing then had to deal with 3 hideous children who had been finger painting! |

I have just signed up to transcribe for YorkshireBMD (contacted them on Thursday and got my stuff today - lightning!). I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. I have been sent photocopies for the index of deaths for 4 September 1876 to 21 October 1879 for the Chapeltown district of Leeds. Basically it is a list of names followed by numbers. I can understand where to put the names but am I right in thinking that I would put Chap (for Chapeltown) in column D, 10 (the number of the index) in column E, and then the number that is on the photocopies in column F for page numbers?
