It’s not absolutely necessary to delete cookies always. There are other ways . You can set prompts to allow, or block them from installing or select which sites (like GC) which are allowed to use cookies. It’s not hard. Have a look here for a good explanation http://www.andyrathbone(.)com/tips/cookies.html Bob

Good tip Bob but unfortunately we are still in the dark ages with Windows 98!! Maybe when I upgrade I will set up the administrator account for myself and stop him deleting the cookies. Lynne

Just a thought... If you have XP then you can have your own account with your own settings and your own cookie file. If your husband is the administrator then he can delete your cookies but he could leave them alone for you to delete.

Him indoors has just been on the computer and guess what - he's deleted the B..... cookies again!!! Thinks I'll have to punish him by NOT letting him eat cookies - LOL!!

Hi Lynne Perhaps you should get 'him in doors' to EAT cookies as a reward for not Deleating Em! We are all open to bribery y'know. Cheers Jim

Mandy, No I'm not offended and yes I do put the tick in the box. Thanks to everyone else for your advice. I have had a word and explained to him indoors what is happening and he has promised to reduce the number of times he deletes the cookies! Lynne

Emptying cookies would be why one has to continuously enter password when SAVE password has been ticked off. Keep in mind though, cookies NEED to be emptied on occasion as part of ones routine PC maintanance. Judy :)

hi Lynne I think Margaret's answer is the correct one, but just a thought (and please don't be offended) - are you ticking the option for windows to remember your password for future logins? Mind you, I always have to login when my hubby's been on here, so perhaps they all meddle with the cookies when they're bored! Mandy :)

Hi Lynne, I have to log in again after I have deleted my cookies. Do you delete cookies regularly, if so I think this may be why, !! Margaret

Does anyone know why I have to Login every time I visit this site, even though I have it on my Favourites list (after Login)?
