hi does anyone know how I can find out where my grandfather frederick thomas curtis is buried/cremated.He died in dec 1965. The death was regestered in the Brent area of london. That is all the information my family has on him.I would really apreaciate it if someone out there knows how to go about finding out this information.

If you get hold of the death certificate you'll have the address where he died. Then you could try the local churches to look for the funeral. Also you might find an announcement of death and funeral in a local newspaper. This website should also be useful to you: http://www(.)brent(.)gov(.)uk/cemeteries(.)nsf remove the brackets

Hi Maz I have posted a message on the EoLFHs, but have had no replies. I think 'Your Little Book' may help me out. My 5x Great-Grandfather died on 21st April 1889, in The Union Workhouse, Leytonstone aged 92! The Informant was a W D Walford, Assistant Master, Union Workhouse. So there should be some sort of records somewhere. What I would like to know is where would he have been buried, I realise it would be in a paupers/unknown grave with probably a few other's. What would be the closest or most widely used Cemetery for the West Ham Workhouse? Being as it's half term next week, I am actually taking my girls up to the East London in Plaistow, to visit some family grave's on Tuesday. Would that have been a bit too far to have taken him?
