A good place to begin would be the 1881 census which is free to search at Familysearch(.)org. remove the brackets. Make sure you go right down into the British 1881 census. If you put the name into the first search window you'll get far too much with a name like Green. Good luck Anne |

Hi, Cannot find anything on my Green relatives in Hull, Yorkshire, John and his father Frederick from the 1800's. I am from Australia and have little knowledge of were to start looking and I am new to the whole genealogy thing. I have done searches but have had no luck.
