Help name spelling

Help on 1839 marraige cert name spelt as CATHERINE SWEENEY ,FATHER EDWARD SWEENEY only birth i can find is CATHERINE SWINEY same Father MOther Elizabeth Gill in 1812 July 19th.IS it possible name changed over the years?Also Parents are down as SWINEY in 1807 on MARCH 23rd.?? .thanks in advance BOB and JEAN. PS, you all do great work by the way ,NO IM not SCRAWLING , where would we all be if you all werent there EH??.

Every chance the spelling changed. The scribe would have written down phonetically what he heard - Sweeney/Swiney, not a lot of difference, particularly when you throw in a rustic accent! Can you find Catherine in the 1851 census which should provide you with her birthplace?

For David , IM afraid my computers been down for a few weeks only got back on line this week {.BOB} ,but if some one could do an 1851 for us that would be great Here goes CATHERINE DWYER NEE {SWEENEY} {SWINEY }HER husband was HENRY DWYER.Thanks again BOB and JEAN.
