Don't assume that they were twins just because they were baptised together (if you ARE assuming that). I once found a batch of 5 or 6 (eldest 15) who were baptised together.

Hi Graham, I can tell you that I went to school in the '70s in Glos, about 5/6 miles from Minch and we had a couple of Blick families attended school with us. Sandra

Have looked up their marriage 16/08/1819 minchinhampton Gloucester and it gives the name Thomas Blake not Blick wonder why? also found a birth of Mary Close born 13/12/1789 at Sheepcote Glos. parents John Close and Hannah Birt. does this tie in? If I can be of any assistance please get in touch.

I believe my Great Grandfather was James Blick,twin brother of John Blick b.about 1828in Wiltshire d. 29 July 1889 in Maryborough ,Australia. He married Catherine Currie(known as Caroline) nee Wary b. about 1830,County Wicklow , Ireland.m.12 December 1850, Geelong, Victoria,Aust. d. 24 January 1910, Maryborough ,Victoria, Australia. They had 4 children :- Mary Anne Blick b. pre 1854 Thomas Frederick Blick b.1855 (My grandfather) Caroline Blick b. about 1858 James Albert Blick b. about 1860 in Amhe3rst, Australia. I believe James Blick's father was Thomas Blick b. about 1799 , in Yorkshire , and married Mary Close 16 August 1819 in Minchinhampton , Glaucester. I have further information on the descendants of Thomas Frederick Blick Does anyone have any information on this branch of the Blick family. ( [email protected] )
