Thanks for that you guys !! Goodness you are quick too... im sure that youre right Shelton seems to be the best bet. Of course if all mine weren't illiterate it might help!!!! Still searching for my Knight of the Realm but so far the most exciting person is a scavenger ! |

What about shelton? just an idea but thats in bedfordshire. Tracey sorry only just seen that sam and ann have already put that also. Shelton is a little village if that helps. |

Looking at the map there is a Shelton Beds. I agree there is also a Shefford but Shelton might fir more with what you found. Ann Glos |

My g/g/mother is variously listed as having been born in: Shafton Steffon Shefton Bedfordshire I cant find any of these places ...any ideas anyone? Thank you Nikki |
