Anne, Your email must have done the trick....its working now. Shhh, say it quietly or it may have another funny turn and revert to Ancestry adverts again! LOL Regards Viv.

I couldn't even get past the search window but I could see the address bar had an Ancestry address in it. I found the email contact at the bottom of the main page and sent a message hoping the site would soon be back to normal. Anne

Hello again, I had a good look to see if I could find a contact email address to report it but couldn't see one anywhere. I'm getting fed up but am going to try the tip about entering the batch numbers by hand. Thanks to you all, I feel better its not just me.!!!! :-( Regards from Viv.

I have just tried the Hugh Wallis site for the 1st time and the same thing is happening to me. There must be something that can be done????

I had the same problem being taken to Ancestry yesterday. I sent an e-mail to the site, but being dim it never occurred to me to put the batch numbers into family search. Just for the record I have found the batch numbers really useful and have found things on there that come back nothing found on family search

Jean, Its a source of the batch numbers for individual parishes to use on FamilySearch International Genealogy Index - means you can search individual parishes rather than counties. Here's the website address http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb(.)com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/

Don't take it personally, I had the same problem most of yesterday, (had to copy the batch number and then go to FamilySearch site and type it in), then suddenly in the evening it worked properly again. Judith

Is anyone else having problems with the Hugh Wallis site? I am able to get to county, place, batch no. but when I click submit query I get an Ancestry advertisment instead of the list of names. Am I doing something wrong or is it just having a funny turn? I have used this site a lot so I really don't think its me. Viv.
