Margaret All of Surrey, or a specific area? Surrey now in London - eg. Richmond or Lambeth, or rural Surrey like Sanderstead where I was born? Which sorts of records are you looking for? Enough questions, now some suggestions: try typing "Surrey" (or relevant placename) into http://www.a2a.org.uk/ or into your usual search engine. If you could be more specific I might be able to give addresses of libraries/records offices etc. Helen

Haven't tried this one lately, don't remember if it's any good: http://www.surreycc(.)gov(.)uk/ (remove brackets) There's always: http://www.cyndislist(.)com/eng-sry.htm WONDERFUL site. I have a few pages of Albury marriages, etc. from 1820ish through 1840ish if that helps. Good luck. Helen: Just tried your suggestion -- great site!

Margaret Try this web address: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountySurrey.htm#G If you click on the batch no. it will give you the option of typing in the name you are searching for and then find it. For censuses, you could try typing eg "Godalming 1851" into your search engine. I've found a few this way (though not for Surrey) Good luck and let me know if you need more help. Helen
