Hi Does any body know a Gillian Nixon. I have been trying to contact her. As she is my mother and i have not seen her for 30years. She must be aged around 50/54

Katherine It is possible, but highly unlikely that you will contact anyone who knows your mother by posting this. You could try the Trying to Find message board. Also, have you an idea whereabouts your mother might be and would she still be called Nixon? Do you have any mutual relatives who could put you in touch? Helen

Katherine, I think there are probably people on this site who are far more knowledgeable than me, but here's what I would do: Look at the electoral rolls for the last known address you have for her 30 years ago. Move through the years until she 'disappears' from this address; maybe she got married at this time so look for marriages around that time whilst still looking at addresses in the same town. If you should find a marriage, you can then start looking for children of that marriage. I believe that there's also a site which shows divorces but I don't know the address I'm afraid. I'm sorry this isn't much help but it may be a start until you get more help from someone else. Good luck, Mandy x
