Is there anyway that we can find out about our relatives divorces? ie. my grandfather was married twice and I would dearly love to find out the date of his divorce from his first wife

It may be on the wedding cert. of his 2nd marriage. Alternatively, check out www.nationalarchivist.com/index01/aboutcfm.
