My ancester was in the Merchant Navy, his ship was sunk in the Indian Ocean in 1914, I am not sure if he survived. Can find nothing in the PRO, would his death be on any available register,even if he died later? Your help is appreciated. |

I am also trying to trace info from the Merchant Navy. I found typing Merchant Navy into google brought up a lot of sites with background info on it also. There is a Registry of Shipping and Seamen in Cardiff but I don't even have a date to trace yet. Good luck Abigail |
