I have a book called 19th Century Church Registers of Bermuda which lists most births deaths and marriages, (unfortunately not the one I wanted!) I bought this whilst in Bermuda and it is the same book that they have in the public records office there. I will do look ups but it will help if you could give a district and date as there are an awful lot of records!!

Hello I have also been trying to look for a birth in Bermuda! Bermuda introduced BMD registration from 1866, so if your ancestor was born/married/died after that date you may find them - my ancestor was born beforehand so I havent tried this directly, but if you search for Bermuda Online via your search engine, there is an address for the Bermuda Register office to which to write for information. If you're looking for an event before 1866, there are various compilations of parish registers, newspaper announcements etc. but I'm not sure how easy they are to obtain in the UK. I found the message board for (message board/localities/carribbean/bermuda) on Rootsweb is very helpful - if youre lucky someone may do a lookup for you and even if not reading through other people's queries is helpful as it gives you an idea on what is available. I think I've come to a dead end with my research there, but good luck with yours Lorraine
