I started with my birth cert. that gave me my mums name and address, from the address I was able to track down other people living at that address. I got mums birth cert that gave me her parents and where she was born. take it from there. But I was adopted and got a lot of help from Joan Allan at My Folks web site. my mum is still alive 76 years old. wishing you lots of luck Dave
