Just in case you did not know, your tree on GC must only contain your name so you would have to delete anyone else in your tree before you can import your Gedcom file. Sue:-)

John: First download (export) the .ged file from Tribal onto your PC....take note of where you are downloading it to. This will place the file you want to put on GC on your computer. Next: 1. While signed on to GC, on the left of your screen, click on IMPORT/EXPORT TREE. 2. A new screen will appear. Where it says FILE TO IMPORT, click on the BROWSE button. 3. A box appears and at the top it says LOOK IN. Click on the "v" looking arrow at the end of this field....this will allow you to scroll through your computer to where the .ged file you downloaded from Tribal. Double click on the .ged from Tribal and you will then return to the GC page and you'll note that in the LOOK IN field is now showing the name of the .ged file from Tribal. 4. Simply click on IMPORT and your .ged file should be sent to the GC site. Judy

Can anyone describd, in very simple language how I import my tree, currently on Tribal Pages, to Genes Connected. I have looked at HELP/FAQs, but unfortunately, it does not help a computer dinosaur like me. I dont understand the first sentence !! And importing a Gedcom is apparently simple ! John R.
