Hello everybody,is there somebody out there who can help.I have tried to find the origin of my family Garbutt surname.I have now come across a Huguenot surname,Garbaut,is there a link.I have traced the family from about 1750 in the North Yorkshire area.Best wishes.Anne |

Anne, According to the Dictionary of English and Welsh surnames on ancestry the name GARBUTT is a derivation of GARBETT. Have you seen the site: members.fortunecity(.)com/petergarbett/garbett/index.html (don't put a www) Emma. |
