Hi Samantha, check out "German Searches" thread, on General Topics. There are a lot of german sites there. The only german BMD site I know of is: http://iigs.rootsweb(.)com/bdm/germany/index.html but see my comments on "german searches". hope this helps, and if you find any good sites, please add them to "German Searches". Thanks. Bob

Samantha over on the records board Chloe has asked about German records and I think someone is doing look-ups for her. Maybe they could help you. Worth a try.

Hi Christine Those links are fantastic, I had a look at them earlier but couldn't find the answer I needed. Sam

Hi Does anyone know if there is one central register of BMD's for Germany similar to our GRO? My grandmother was born in Germany in 1931 and I would like to get hold of her birth certificate. I have her marriage certificate so know her fathers name but that's are far as I can get on this branch of my tree. Thankyou in anticipation! Sam
