very faint writing

How can I decipher / enhance very faint writing on the back of an old Photo? I have photoshop but sharpen doesn't work well enough.

You could try scanning it and then make it a negative. So the writing shows white on black. Sometimes works

As well as doing what Sandi suggested i use my Photo imaging software and emboss it,you would be surprised how much more you can read. Steve.
