Hi Judy, Hope you can help me. I am having trouble with a pop up message: Message Service Message from Alert to Infect on 5/9/2004 Secuirty Alert..... www.Win-Clean(.)com or www.XP-Fix(.)com My son tried to see what programmes were running currently by looking at the systems task manager but can't find the problem. Can you give any advise about getting rid of this pop up message. It's popping up all the time. Thanks very much, Christine

It looks like a pop up trying to get you to download one of their programs.....Have you updated and ran Adaware lately? I would also empty cookies and temporary internet files. too. You might also want to take a look on your C drive, in your Programs file to see if there are programs here that you didn't download. Before you go unistalling anything from this file, first be sure that it isn't one of your PC's system programs.....if in doubt, ASK....unintalling anything from this folder can cause problems if you delete something that your computer needs. Most of the time adware programs install themselves here, in the Programs folder. Judy

Thanks Judy, I'll try to do as you suggest. My computer is being attacked right now. I'll shut it down and start again and look at what you've suggested. Thanks again. Christine

Hi again Judy, I've run the Adaware, emptied the cookies and temporary internet files - just hope I've done it right. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks again. Christine
