Thanks Susan and Maggie, I'm in a small town in Somerset so will post a reply on that thread in case anyone wants a picture or anything. Mandy

Hi Mandy, These threads are reasonably new and are for people searching for relations in that area, you put your surnames and area in the thread and anyone else searching for that name in that area can then contact you, also if you live in that area and you think you can help someone great, we all need help, maybe you can get a photo of a house or maybe a gravestone. Mandy, I think the idea is that we all put in our names and areas and see if anyone else is looking for the same people. I'd never thought about someone in the area being able to help? What does everyone else think? Susan x

Being a fairly-newbie (!), I keep seeing threads on this board entitled 'who and where are we looking' etc, with lists of names and places in that area. Do we all pitch in and help if we live in the area or what? Would be glad to help anyone if only I knew what I was supposed to be doing! And I'm not having a laugh either, I'm serious (or maybe seriously thick!).
