Godparents named

I think it must have been a standard thing as I also have my nan's and her sisters baptism records. They were all done at the same church and only the youngest has the godparents named and by the look of the entry, the actual register is different. The 2 oldest girls born 1912 & 1917 don't have godparents stated but youngest 1928 does. Karen

Hi My Aunt was baptised in 1927 and her godparents are included on the parish records. Karen

Does anyone know when they started to record godparents on the parish records? I was looking at fiche for 1990s and hadn't realised the godparents would be named as well on the baptism entries.
