Hi Jeanette, The records on Freebmd and Ancestry are not complete, and although are listed as 1837-1983, they have only been transcribed upto around 1910. The death index are complete on Ancestry from 1984-2002, but unfortunately that is too late for your search. I'm afraid your only option is to search year by year if can't narrow it down any more. The other thing I'd mention is you say from her marriage certificate her name was Morgan, which implies that Morgan was her maiden name? The death would be registered in her name at the time of her death. If it's any consolation, deaths are the hardest to find, and I don't think my tree is any different to most, scores of people that never died!! Some of mine are nearly 300yrs old!! lol Debbie

Still trying to find my grandmother and after turning up no luck with births I'm going for the longer shot of deaths! Trouble is I dont know what year she died and can only narrow it down to between 30 and 40 years. Obviously this would take me a long time to find on 1837, I've tried searching on Ancestry but I only get results listed upto 1910, she would have died between 1930 and 1968, am I doing something wrong in the ancestry search ? Her name from her marriage certificate was Elizabeth M Morgan(s) and she would have died in either Medway, Kent or Pembroke.
