my great grandfather's first wife died during childbirth, he eventually married one of his wife's niece's. also, my grandfather & grandmother were cousins (their mothers were sisters). and in yet another complication, my great grandfather's cousin married my great grandmother's cousin! GenesConnected just cant cope with these sort of complications!

Hi My g/g/grandfather had 4 children with my g/g/grandmother. They were married for 10 years, when she died of Typhoid Fever. My g/g/grandfather then married one of her yonger sister's and went on to have another 5 children. I also had the same trouble of trying to enter it on GC as well as other trees that i have. I hope you now have it sorted. Sarah

Thank you for your answers. I thought it was as Brian said. And because I haven't been doing my family tree very long I haven't purchased any Family Tree software yet. Pauline

if you use Family tree Maker or something similar and export your tree out as GEDCOM then upload it to GC it'll do all the duplicating for you

Only by duplicating the entry for great grandfather.

My g grandfather married the sister of my g grandmother after her death. Can she be linked back to the same mother on gc tree? If so how. Thanks Pauline
