Two early certificates for me today. Unfortunately they are not the people I was looking for. Have advertised them on the trying to find board, any suggestions about what else I can do? |

i got two certificates one Birth and one marriage the despatch date i was given was the 13th may and the arrived on thursday the 6th May, so a week early, and i only ordered it on 28th April i was chuffed to bits, as it was dad's side of the family which i've just started researching and now i can carry on, Thanks to GRO and there quick response, june |

I think I might have a record. I ordered a birth certificate on Wednesday lunchtime 5th, due for despatch on 18th. It appears to have been posted Friday 7th and has arrived today, Monday 10th. Never had one in less than a week before! Well done GRO!! |

I just looked at my envelope - it was posted on 30th, not due for despatch until 10th. It would have been here earlier if the postal services were a little more efficent - so much for 1st class! I've just ordered the next one - due for despatch 18th - we will see if this one is early. |

Paul, I would think you need to chase that one up. it has only been in the last couple of months that they got snowed under and the wait was up to three weeks, before that it was a week or two. Ann Glos |

mine have always arrived pretty much in 2 weeks exactly. However I ordered one early in April and I'm still waiting :( |

It was, especially as it solved one of those brickwalls and now sends me off in a totally new direction. Trouble is I now need another certificate to progress! Oh well, it never was a cheap hobby! |
