Thankyou for your help Gina. It looks as though what I heard was right he was born in Ireland. Can I look up anything on the net about births in Southern Irelnd please? |

Hi Gina, Thankyou fro offering your help. My GrandFather would have been about 36 I know he was born in 1865 but I don't know which month. |

Thanks for replying so quickly. The problem is I don't know exactly where he was born. I always thought it was Cork Southern Ireland, but as he was living in London and sent for his birth certificate, I think he may have been born in Wales. I vaguely remember his Mother being welsh. He was either patrick James Ryan, or James Patrinck Ryan, he was either born in January or May of 1900/1901. I do kow for certain his Dad was Patrick Raymond Ryan who died on April 20th 1933 in Cardiff. His brother George Michael Ryan was with his Dad at the time of his death, I kow nothing at all about htis brother. |

I am trying to do my Fathers family tree, but, I have a big problem. Although I have got details of his Fathers death. I found the information in his wallet when he died. I just cannot trace my Fathers birth certificate. He was born in 1900/1901. He definitely got his birth ertificate when he claimed his goverment pension. But I have no idea where he got it from, or what happened to it. I have tried everywhere, I think, I am at a loss what to do next. His own Father died in Wales. Can anybody help on this please? |
