Not quite sure if this helps as I did not help with 1881. What you must do is make sure this is your gal by knowing this is the right geographical area where she is in 1881. Next you can look for her birth either on Free BMD or 1837online. The latter is a pay site. The first is not complete. You could also look for her marriage the same way. Some libraries have these GRO records, as they are called. Then when you are nearly sure or actually sure, you send for the cert. cost of £7. The marriage cert. should give you her father's name. The birth cert, father and mother's names, usually. Another thing would be to get your grandad's birth cert. Can I recommend this site to you. hi margaret, found an elizabeth heron on family search not sure if it is my elizabeth dates about right she is about 4 on 1881 census so that would make her about 16 when she had my ggrandad did they marry young then. dont know how to find out if its her.
