Thanks for that guys. I thought it was a bit unlikely. Robin has told me tho that some historical directories, such as trade directories, are on the Uni of Leicester site so this may be worth a look for some of you. Good luck!! Lindsey

Virtually all men were given the vote as a result of the 1867 Reform Act. Before that, it was mainly the property owners who could vote.

Hi, I don't think they are on line. And remember you wouldn't find any women until the 1920s and only men with property or wealth until after WW1. They can be found in County record offices. Gwynne

I have heard that early electoral roles for the 1900s are on line. Any idea if this is true and what site its on if it is. Thanks Lindsey
