She never had any contact with her, never came to see her or anything. The first my grandmother saw of her was when my gran came to Exeter to live, because the lady she was left with as a baby died and she was told to get out.My gran later married her mothers stepson.

AS far as i know ther were no rellies in Cardiff but why not leave her child there ,why bring her back to Devon?

you've saud it already, she was unmarried. go somewhere where there is absolutely no chance of being recognised so rumours cant be spread.

Were there any other family members in Cardiff, perhaps she went to be with a relative, during the confinement ?. Did she go to Cardiff in order to conceal the birth ?

Why did my Greatgrandmother(unmarried) go to Cardiff from Exeter to have her baby my Gran then bring her back and leave her in a little place called Silverton Devon?Has anyone any idea's? I love to hear what you think.
