Looking for a street?!

Hello! Could anyone please tell me how I could look up certain streets on a census? I know that when George Littleboy married Ellen Fowler (nee Tucker) in 1884, they both lived in Brewer Street London I believe possibly her families residence. How could I search Brewer St census records of 1881?

Hi Lisa There are four Brewer Streets on the London Middlesex discs, Chelsea, Hanover Square, Westminster and Clerkenwell. Do you know the number of the house? Heather

Hi Heather, still that family!! The marriage cert shows them both living at Brewer St when they married and as family tell it she was lady of the house and he the hired help! It would be great to prove one way or another, but alas no house number so I would be going on the surnames; Littleboy, Tucker or Fowler, plus the children, Lillian, Percy and Gus maybe even her father ThomasTucker! The marriage was St Georges Hanover Square though?

The birth cert of their first son (1885) has them at 8 Stonebridge Rd USD. The 1901 has them at, 13 Coleshill Rd Teddington.

Hello again, I think they were hiding with my family! Did the marriage cert state the occupations of husband and father? Have you got a birth cert for any of her Fowler children? I'll keep looking but not very hopeful. Heather

Did Lily, Gus or Percy get married? Their father's name would be on the certificate. Heather

Oh thats good!! Will have to get on to my aunt to see if she can remember the name of Gus' wife. I don't understand why I can't find the births though!

TUCKER Thomas 35 Carpenter Tiverton Ann 33 Tiverton Eliza 7 Bristol Ellen 5 Bristol In St Paul 1851 This means Ellen would have been about 38 when she married George and about 43 at the birth of her last child. Do you think that is reasonable? A 17 year age gap? Wow toyboy!!

When I was looking at the census yesterday, I found a Thomas Tucker, carpenter from Devon also M. Tucker a stone mason. Thomas was aged 47 born Stockley, M. was 43 born Exeter, they were married men living in in lodgings without their families. Not sure if its relevant. Heather

Do you have them 1891? I think I have seen them on there. I have been looking on the 1881 disk for them in Brewer Street but cant see them, if you type in the following on LDS site then look at the neighbors you can check. Hi Jo You usually beat me to it with the 1881 lookups. I've been looking for Percy and Gus (Gussie/Augustus) and Ellen in London, I wonder if they were in Devon or Bristol? Heather
