Minor and age of consent information. Who has the

I have just received a marriage certificate and in the age column it said minor. After making Inquires this is what I found out. From 1837 until 1929 a female could marry at 12 and a male at 14 years of age. They would need the parents consent up till the age of 21. Valerie |
