Sorry to be a novice, Bob, how do you alter the virtual memory in the control panel?

Windows has always been memory hungry so in addition to the actual memory chips in your computer it uses the hard disk as "virtual" memory. The problem with this is that even the fastest hard drives are many times slower than the chips. You can alter the size of this virtual memory through control panel. Bob

I had a similar problem which turned out to be a bizarre twist of Microsoft Word. It just needed a couple of files deleting which I was directed to find with the 'find' facility. In fact there was plenty of room on the computer! However I'm just not computer minded enough to advise you if that's your problem Anne

THANKS TO ALL WHO GOT IN TOUCH I AM VERY GRATEFULL THE PROBLEM WITH THE COMPUTER IS IT FLASHES UP TO TELL MY IT IS RUNNING SLOW ON AND SO IS THE VIRTUAL MEMORY IF SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME SOME HELP I WOULD MUCH APPRECIATE IT THANKS ISABEL
