Hi Lindsey i'm transcribing at the moment and some of the handwriting is difficult. i have come across jno a couple of times and when i look at the father he has always been john, at first i thought in could be abbreviation for junior, the only true way is to try and find a birth certificate, i was also put on to a website that does about 10 web searches at once, you may find a different transcription if you try the following and you can put in whichever country you want, its and remove the bracketshttp://www[.]rat[.]de/kuijsten/navigator/uk/index[.]html hope it helps sandra

Perhaps a mistranscription of Jno (John) - J and K are next to each other on the keyboard.

Jno is commonly used for John. Perhaps it was supposed to be that. Crista

Hi guys. I have found a male in tree and on LDS he is recorded as being called Kno Stoddart. Any ideas what Kno could stand for? Lindsey
