The 1901 census has; George Littleboy, 39, born Stoke Poges Helen Littleboy, 40, born Brixton Lewis Littleboy, 16, Ivy Littleboy, 11, Lillian Fowler, 19, born Wimbledon Surrey------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The 1891 census has; George Littleboy, 33, born Stoke Poges Ellen Littleboy, 36, born Bristol Gussie Littleboy, 14 Percy Littleboy, 13 Lilly Littleboy, 9 Lewis Littleboy, 6 Ivy Littleboy, 1------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have found George Littleboy on the 1881 census; 16, born and living in Stoke Poges. I know that Ellen was married before and that Gus, Percy and Lilly were the children fom that marriage, (FOWLER), but i cannot find either Ellen, Percy or Gus on the 1881 under the name Fowler or Tucker (her maiden name). Help, what should I do?

Thankyou, Ellen did lie about her age on everything, when she married George in 1884 the marriage cert gives his age as 21 and hers as 34, this is probably why they do lie!! The problem i am having is locating her children form her first marriage on the 1881, Percy would have been 3 and Gus 4. Free BMD has nothing, I don't know what the other is?!

Hi Lisa Do you know where Percy and Gus were born? It might be possible to search for them in 1881 using their christian names. Heather

Christina, wht is TNA for death records? I do think that she has made it as confusing as possible for you by changing her age but it was common and as often because of guessing as deliberately deceiving. Good luck sorting it out. Abigail

Hi Heather, I am not sure where Gus and Percy were born but they had a sister Lillian, who I believe was too young to appear on the 1881, and in the 1901 she gives her birth place as Wimbledon, Surrey, so maybe they were born there too?! I just can't find them! My Aunt Carole vaguely remembers visiting an Uncle Gus as a child so I know he's around somewhere, Where???!!!

Hi Lisa No luck so far, I can't find an Ellen, Gus and Percy together, will look again tomorrow. Wish I could age just 4 or 6 years at each census, don't you? Heather

Was Gus registered Gus, Gussie, Augustus??? Just that I found a Gus with George (not your family) in brackets so wonder if it's a nickname. Heather

My Aunt remembers him as Uncle Gus, on the 1891 he is referred to as Gussie, but Lillian is reffered to as Lilly. I assume he would have been Augustus but who knows?! This family are driving me insane! PS. Thanks for the mail!!
