Hi Paul, Sorry to hear you are still having problems with spam!! 200 eh, mine pale into insignificance compared to that! I had hoped that you would come back with a positive reply! I too have got all the up-to-date security that has been mentioned on thsi site and try to keep my computor 'clean'. Firewalls and Spy Blaster etc. The Spy Blaster seems to be keeping tracking cookies off so that at least is good news. Also I have trawled round all sites where I have left my details and, either cancelled them or put in my new addy. I can only hope 'they' get tired soon. Only 84!!! I disposed of more than 200 yesterday, and a similar amount has been removed today. being unable to change the details of the main account is a pain, and a problem. Apparently, the only way to do it is to cancel the account, and then re-register (someone will tell me if I am incorrect) I set up another account, and it seems to be working. I just go into the main one, take out what I think is pertinent and dump the rest. I have changed details, where needed, on various boards and sites. So, I will take this opportunity to say:- Sorry :-(( if anyone thinks I have ignored them, but it is at the stage where if I don't recognise the name or subject, it goes in the bin. So please, for the sake of everyone on these boards being driven to distraction, identify the subject/name/reason for message, etc in any contact messages. Just as an aside, yesterday I was opening up the main account while a relation (who lives about a mile away) was talking to me. They were most put out, to say the least, when their address showed up in the bulk mail. They disappeared at a high rate of knots to check the computer, to find the address book had been infiltrated, and that is with up-to-date, pukka gen scanning programmes. So we cannot be complacent. Hi Bob, I have tried to change my e-mail addy but, as it is my main account where the problem lies, I cannot change it!! So much for progress! I have set up a disposable account and use that, but the dreaded things keep on coming into my main account. I had 84, yes 84 yesterday!! Margaret

Margaret My daughter uses a Y*ahoo e-mail addy and gets v little spam. It could be that if you used a name which was a bit more obscre (include numbers in it) you might solve the problem

Like Paul Pearce Smith, I am now being inundated with SPAM and it has got worse since I went on to BT Y.A.H.O.O. Can anyone recommend servers where you do not get so much spam. Or is there some other way of getting rid of the pesky things. OK, so they put them in the BULK folder and you can delete then on-mass, but I never had more than 5 or 6 a week before I 'upgraded'!! I empty cookies and temporary internet files daily in the vain hope they will go away, but sadly they do not!! I am heartily sick of reading the titles, heaven above knows what the content must be like"""!!!
