Theresa Sorry, I have deleted the message . The date of birth is possibly wrong I have a copy of the records from the Industrial school and the court record. No parents or grandmothers names are given. My dad certainly never had a birthday in the school He had the baptism record details for the other William O'DRISCOLL. from SSPeter and Pauls churh in Cork. He could have been born anywhere in Ireland but as you know most families lived near to each other. Thanks again for your offer of help. Margaret

SAMANTHA I registered and bought units.I found two O'DRISCOLL males in the relevant quarter 1919. Neither called William. Have saved the results, just in case. I did not realise it does not give actual dates of birth. I will now try Scotland over the phone on Monday. If no trace I will get back to Cork. Many Thanks for your advise and response. Margaret

Samantha Thanks for your reply. My fathers name was O'DRISCOLL I am only able to go off the date of birth held by the Industrial school. 25/11/1919 I have no parents names at all no mothers surname etc or place of birth. It is a process of elimination really. thanks Margaret

I NEED TO SEARCH THE BIRTH INDEXES FOR A POSSIBLE BIRTH RECORD FOR MY FATHER. HE WAS IN AN INDUSTRUAL SCHOOL IN IRELAND UNTIL 1935 AND WHEN HE LEFT HE WAS GIVEN AN INCORRECT DATE OF BIRTH. I AM SEARCHING FOR A BIRTH RECORD AND DUBLIN GRO DO NOT HOLD ONE. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO SEARCH UK,WALES AND SCOTLAND IN CASE HE WAS BORN OVER HERE THEN SENT BACK TO CORK IRELAND WITH HIS MOTHER. I HAVE FOUND 1837ONLINE.COM AND THEY SEEM TO HOLD ALL THE INDEXES IS IT WORTH BUYING UNITS ? AND IS IT A SECURE SITE ? CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME PLEASE MANY THANKS MARGARET
