1881 census images _ Archive cd books

I've just read a message on one of my rootsweb lists. Apparently Archive CD books are going to film the 1881 census images and sell them by registration district from as little as £6. They haven't had a great response to the few they have put on the site for pre-order. If they don't get enough support for the project they won't go ahead with it. Diane just had a look, there are two districts of London available now, also they are doing some 1871 census by the district for London |

They have had a poor response for the Cornish ones. Cornwall 1881 St. Austell District Cornwall 1881 Truro District Cornwall 1881 Falmouth District They have only had a couple of orderes for each one. Steve. |

It's a shame, but how are you supposed to know what they are doing. I've bought several things from them, recently 1861 Essex. They could e mail a newsletter out or something. I only found out because somebody on a rootsweb list posted it. Diane |
