Is there anyone from Tiverton out there please who would know where and what 4, St. Aubyn's Park was in 1953? I have found it on an old map website, but need to what sort of house or building this was. Thanks, Sue

I cannot be a hundred percent sure, but when I was a child in the 1960's in Exeter, there was a preparatory School on the road into Tivvy from Exeter. I think that was called St Aubyns. Linda P

Hello - I too am searching for family in Tiverton. Does anyone know anything about a place called "Fatherford Barton". It may not exist anymore. My family of Palmers/Slader lived there. I would love to know if it's still there as I may take a trip and visit the place. Any help would be great - Shirli

Hi Lita and Samantha - thank you for your reply. I will try Genuki - thanks. Well my rellies were farmers If barton means farm then that is right. I found them on a census and that's the address they gave in the district of Tiverton. Knowing my luck the farm probably does'nt exist anymore. I really do appreciate the help you have given. I'll keep an eye out for any further information. Thanks again - Shirli

SHIRLI - I don't know if this is any use but I Googled the name and this is what came up: Exeter Pet Foods and Animal Feeds in Exeter Pet Foods and Animal Feeds directory UK ... Unit 2 FATHERFORD FARM, Okehampton. Devon EX20 1QQ ... Ray Jones Pet Products. The Barton, North Tawton. Devon EX20 2BB ... First Floor Office, 46 St Peter Street. Tiverton. Devon EX16 6NR ... I don't know how far from Tiverton the Barton might have been, but it COULD just be the one mentioned above. All the best Mary Devon (south!)
