	Most of my mothers family originate from Lancashire in and around Wigan/Preston. I live in Yorkshire and work full time so it would help if I could ask them to do the look ups I want. Jenny

Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 183 Send Message	Hi there. All the records for Wigan and Preston will be found in the Lancashire Records Office, Bow Lane, Preston. They used to do postal look ups as long as you enclose a S.A.E. I do not think that they will do anything over the phone but they may now answer E mails. Why not try www.a2a.org.uk. Click on "search the data base" when you get the next page put the name you are researching in "keyword" and scroll down the location until you get Lancashire Records Office. Put in the dates you are searching and then click on search Good luck Mary
