I have just found out that the pub my 4 x Great Grandfather ran in the 1840's and 1850's. Is still running and is now called the Barford Inn. I am going to have to have a few pints in there when i get the chance.

You never know they may have some paperwork relating to years gone by or could tell you which brewery it could have belonged to and their historical records? Local History society may be able to help.

He owned the place himself and brewed his own beer. His death Cert says he died of enlargement of the liver. I think he was doing too much quality control.
